- Greater Yellowstone Coalition Annual Meeting
The GYC holds an annual conference and maintains a Web site containing a comprehensive calendar of events, presentations and field trips on issues related to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
- Greater Yellowstone Power of Place Conference
This annual conference (organized by the National Parks Conservation Association, Jackson Hole Wyoming Chamber of Commerce, Charture Institute and Yellowstone Business Partnership) brings together community and business leaders in exploring cross-boundary challenges facing the Yellowstone-Teton region.
- High Desert Conference
Oregon Natural Desert Association hosts this conference every other year. Wilderness advocates from throughout Oregon come together for strategizing, networking and camaraderie.
- Land Trust and Stewardship Seminar Series
A three-day educational and networking event focused on the protection of features and areas important to local communities and the natural and cultural diversity of British Columbia. It is a gathering for Conservationists, First Nations and many others.
- Public Interest Environmental Law Conference
The PIELC is the premier annual gathering for environmentalists worldwide. It unites thousands of activists, attorneys, students, scientists, and concerned citizens from over 50 countries to share their experience and expertise. The conference is organized by the volunteers of Land Air Water, a student environmental law society.
- Washington Environmental Council
WEC holds a variety of workshops, meetings and legislative briefings focused on Washington state. Every January, they host an Annual Legislative Briefing in preparation for the upcoming legislative session.
- Western Forest Activists Conference
Headwaters, a nonprofit education group dedicated to protecting critical watersheds of southwest Oregon, hosts the annual Western Forest Activists Conference each February. The group also maintains a calendar of other environmental events on their Web site.
- Western Forest Carnivore Committee Meeting
This biannual gathering focuses on research, conservation and management of the forest carnivores in the western U.S. and Canada--the lynx, wolverine, fisher and marten. For more information, contact Jim Claar at jclaar@fs.fed.us.
- Western Mining Activist Network Conference
Founded in 1997, the Western Mining Activist Network provides links among mining activists in western United States and Canada. WMAN services include activist training, technical support, and strategic analysis. The WMAN conference is biannual.
- Wild Idaho and Wild Idaho North Conferences
The Idaho Conservation League holds these conferences annually, as well as other meetings, briefings and workshops.
- Wild Rockies Rendezvous
The Missoula, Montana-based Alliance for the Wild Rockies hosts the Wild Rockies Rendezvous, an annual conference each September focusing on the entire Northern Rockies Bioregion.
- Wilderness Conference
Focusing on Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, this biannual conference helps to build public awareness and citizen support for significant advances in wilderness preservation. (The next conference will be in 2008.)
