Grantee Profile: Institutes for Journalism & Natural Resources
IJNR pursues higher standards for news coverage of natural resources and the environment -- standards of accuracy, fairness, balance, depth, and context. To raise those standards, IJNR seeks to improve the quality of the conversations that produce news coverage, especially the conversations among journalists and between journalists and their sources. It also improves this quality through its expedition-style journeys, and extensive mentoring program. IJNR was founded in 1995.
