The Idaho Conservation League aims to preserve Idaho's clean water, wilderness, and quality of life through citizen action, public education, and professional advocacy. ICL works with rural homeowners near polluting dairies to prevent water and air contamination; partners with ranchers, outdoor enthusiasts, and local business owners to protect natural places like the Owyhee Canyonlands and Boulder-White Cloud Mountains; and advocates for enhanced wildlife and recreation opportunities by restoring and preserving Idaho rivers and forests. It was founded in 1973 and currently has thirteen staff.
